Mauritius 24/7 it was an event
Hello Mauritius – How are we doing this summer! if you are from coastal areas we know that you must be surely grilling yourself to get that tan, if you are in port-louis you could have fainted with the heat and humidity, but end of the day have you bought your grocery for your home while going back home, don’t tell me you were not able to coz the shops were closed by 5 PM.
Do anyone atleast remember that HRDC of mauritius started with the campaign called 24/7 in mauritius. Well they even stated in couple of mediums that its the “capsule for the mauritius economy”. We are surely not convinced that its so far not been a “Capsule for Mauritius Economy” in positive side, but on negative side it could have left with so many millions in drains.
It was really a good push from HRDC to start the culture of 24/7, but according to our observations, Mauritian culture is really lazy and louzy to be part of the culture. Just to talk about the round up of the 24/7 , we observed nothing special, it was more or less like a carnival event in mauritius. People gathered to one particular location where ever this event was happening.
What was 24/7 to our understanding was the culture where people would go and do the grocery purchase, people can go and buy a car, go around the town and do window shopping or shopping, where you get the public transport facilities and many other things. I feel really sad, that mauritian business community people dont want to improve their business which would surely build them to grow their profits. We in mauritius have the very dirty habit of comparing us with everyone around the world. But we as a Mauritians never would criticize our own thing assuming what ever they are doing is the best in the world, we take hundred surveys, spend millions of rupees copying. Its like in IT language what microsoft does for its Operating System – Copies everything from MAC, LINUX and end of the day MS will have the bugs from very first day and the product is crashed.
Where is the green growing in quatre-bornes
We as a paradise on earth nation, must keep in mind that the beauty of the country surely based on the greenery of the country. But in recent past years, what so ever grew in the country is out of question, but one thing which is growing faster than mushrooms are the concrete buildings everywhere. We are uprooting so many trees which saw the fierce cyclones, winds, heat and cold. If they could talk, that would be a shame.

Indian firm to acquire 35 million shares of Mascareignes
How on earth can you make people believe that Asia is going to be the one of the biggest economy countries in the world in very near future. It just means they are just not going to make their economy strong only in the country by keeping the fixed assets and so on, but also by investing everywhere and taking back the profits back to the country.
Well time talks everything, big nations like US, UK, France or Canada couldn’t stop the countries like India, China, Taiwan, Singapore or other countries to raise so fast from the economy crunch. Well in recent past years we been hearing most of the Asian Firms are taking over many firms around the world. But its no more a surprise how much economy is rotating over.
So what are we talking about around the bush, well lets come back to the point that according to the sources that a Medical firm from Mumbai – India will acquired 35 Million shares of Mascareignes. This is happening through the share sale agreement in Mumbai stock exchange.
According to the sources too “They also got the approval from the Prime Minister Office of Mauritius - the approval for the transaction” so there is going to be another big investment coming in and lots of money going out. Mauritius targeting 1 million tourists from Europe
Mauritius sees tourist arrivals reaching 1 million in 2010 and is banking on new port infrastructure and a resurgence in Italian visitors to the Indian Ocean Island, its tourism promotion agency said on Monday.
The target is slightly higher than that of the Central Statistics Office, which last week projected a 5 percent jump in arrivals to about 915,000 in 2010 and earnings to rise to around 40 billion rupees from 35.6 billion in 2009.
