Age

There is no age  consideration for quitting smoking. Even stopping at the age of 60 also increases the chances of risk factors significantly.

As soon as you stop, you start to feel the benefit.

1. After 20 minutes: Your blood pressure and pulse rate return to normal.
2. After one day: Your body eliminates carbon monoxide and your lungs start to clear out mucus and other smoking trash.
3. After 72 hours: Your breathing becomes easier. The bronchial tubes begin to relax and your energy levels increase.
4. By 2 to 12 weeks: Your circulation has improved throughout the body.

Age also plays key role in the prevalence of lung cancer. Below factors are applicable in considering the age factor.

• Never smoked: People at the age of 75 also have 0.5 percent chances of getting lung cancer if they never smoke also.
• 30-years-old: If you started smoking in your teens and gave up at 30, you would have a 1.8 per cent chance of getting lung cancer by the age of 75.
• 40-years-old: You would have a 3 percent chance of getting lung cancer by the age of 75. By 40, some people will have developed signs of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) in which the airways become narrowed, chronic bronchitis and long term disease of lungs.
• 50-years-old: You would have a 6 per cent chance of getting lung cancer by the age of 75.
• 60-years-old: You would have a 10 per cent chance of getting lung cancer by the age of 75. If you quit at this point, the decline in lung function will not be as fast as if you continued to smoke. Stopping at 60 will still reduce the risk of lung cancer.

4. Is it that they want to show Mauritius, that we are living in POVERTY or something….. But we Mauritians are very well aware of our poverty…. which country don’t have that poverty, to our surprise the ratio of Poverty is much higher is France than any other European Region…

5. Is it that even France is looking for some diversified investment policies so that they can get some investors

well more and more we think of it they are so many unsolved things which will crop up from either ends but the fact remains there is surely room for improvement everywhere one must see it and take it as a lesson and learn for the betterment.

So now that Mauritius is having a cyclone visitor just passing by and pulling some rain to the country, so is it that we are storing this water or still going to complain that Mauritius has no water for now.  Well the rain what we have right now is a cyclone rain, this type of rain usually is due to the occurrence of cyclonic activities and is witnessed along fronts. It happens due to the meeting of hot and cold air masses. A line known as front separates the two air masses. The warm air slowly rises over the heavier cold air. Thus the cold, dry air comes in contact with the warmer, moist air by which the warm air cools and form clouds leading to rainfall. This type of rain pours down steadily for a few hours to a couple of days. There is heavy rain but of short duration. Hence there are also known as temperate cyclones and they surely bring quite some rain in inner and outer boundaries.

We sincerely wish everyone in Mauritius take their preventive measures to divert every extra drop of water to the right location so that we will not suffer for the year.
