FANCY BRACELET |
 |
What you'll need: An old pair of jeans or shorts
(bonus for crazy colors or patterns) with an intact
bottom hem, a pair of scissors, safety pins, and a yen
to look very shabby-chic.
First, Next, Last: Snip off the
bottom hem of both legs. Measure one hem around your
neck at exact choker-length. Secure with safety pin.
Use the rest of the hem to make a bracelet that wraps
around several times to create a ballet-slipper-tie
weave around your wrist. Secure with safety pin.

QUATRE-BORNES
LACEY BOOTY |
 |
What you'll need: a denim mini-skirt or great pair
of jeans that need a little oomph, a slip with a lacy
hem, scissors, and some Stitch Witchery or fabric
glue.
|
First:
Trace the outline of the back pockets on a piece of
white paper, then cut it out. Use your shape as a pattern
to snip two back-pocket shapes out of your slip, using
the hem as the top, flat side. Cut it a little taller
than it needs to be. Then: Using
the directions on your fabric glue or Stitch Witchery,
attach the silky slip, lace-side up, over both pockets.
Since you cut it a little tall, you can let the lace
peek over the top of the pocket to hide the denim fold. |
